A Korean-American perspective of the melting pot of New York City
The term "concrete jungle" is a nickname for New York CIty, derived from author Upton Sinclair and made famous by Jay-Z in his song "Empire State of Mind". A jungol is a dish in Korean cuisine, a literal melting pot of spices, and delicious things. This project, the Concrete Jungol is a podcast series about navigating life in New York City as a Korean-American, and what it means to be a Korean-American in the metaphorical melting pot of New York City.
